Get in touch with us

Contact Datman to register your interest. We'll help you determine whether Datman is a good fit for your use case.

Scope and design your implementation

Your Datman contact will work with you to design your implementation. During this phase you'll determine how to:

  • Onboard and verify your merchants, making sure that you can collect the required business, owner and bank details, and accept document uploads.
  • Take payments for your merchants, and whether to split payments between your merchant and other merchants, for example a delivery partner.
  • Change payments after they are made: capture, adjust, reverse or refund them.
  • Move money: when your merchants' funds are settled and paid out. The settlement delay is agreed when each merchant is onboarded. It is usually two business days (T+2), and can be one (T+1) or four (T+4). Weekends and bank holidays are not counted.
  • Report and reconcile transactions, balances and payouts for your business and for your merchants.

Access and set up your sandbox

Your Datman contact sets up your sandbox account, and Datman sends you an API key for the sandbox environment.

In your sandbox, you can:

  • Create test merchants and follow their onboarding.
  • Take test payments, and change and refund them.
  • Receive webhooks on your server for changes to payments and transfers.
  • List transactions, balances and payouts for your test merchants.

Build your integration

When you have your sandbox account and API key, you can start building your Datman integration.

Refer to Authentication for the hosts of each environment, and to the API Explorer for every endpoint, with request and response examples.

Test your integration

After you integrate with our APIs, you are responsible for testing what you built in the sandbox environment.

We recommend that you test your integration again after you configure your live account, because the live environment uses different hosts.

Apply for your live account

After you built and tested your integration in the sandbox environment, you are ready to go live.

Reach out to your Datman contact to take your account live.

Configure your live account

Switch your integration to the production hosts listed in Authentication, and use your live API key.

After you configure your account on the live environment, test your integration on the live environment as well.
